Introducing the totaljobs Understanding Top Talent Series
Recently, Ian Burke, Sales Director of totaljobs, spoke at The FIRM’s London Conference for in-house recruiters. Ian discussed our latest research, Understanding Top Talent, a key study which gets to the bottom of what the best candidates really want when they are looking for a new role. And it’s not just about the initial job application or interview phase – we’ve delved deep and looked at what top talent wants from employers right across the whole recruitment journey – from attracting and recruiting, to hiring and retaining.
To make sure we had the full picture, we talked to over 3,000 jobseekers and 100 employers to find out everything we possibly could – from what attracts people to certain jobs, what type of interviews work best, the type of benefits that are most in demand, and once hired, how to keep top talent happy in the job.
At the FIRM’s conference, Ian shared some of the insights we discovered from our research, and discussed, with a panel of in-house recruiters including Livingbridge, TimeInc and Dixons Carphone, how recruiters can gain the competitive edge in a candidate-led market to attract and retain the talent they need.
